Spring Update Quarantine Edition

Good Morning Friends!  I have been trying to incorporate more green drinks into our lives here at the cottage. Everyone gladly drinks them for their health. Celery juice is a hard drink to drink at first,  but with time you almost crave it. (Almost)

I have been trying to  work on my health. So there isn’t  to many blueberry muffins that are getting eaten by me. I still make Frank and Levi all of their favorites. I’m finding as I get older it’s harder and harder to maintain a decent weight. Do any of you find that as well?

So I go along trying one thing and another. I’ve came to the conclusion that I must stick to something for 6 weeks to see if it’s working for me. I will let you know if what I’ve just started works for me. Until then I won’t share the details.

The weather has been the prettiest I’ve seen in a long time. Temperatures are lower than normal. And it’s been breezy. We are enjoying it so much!

We sit out on the porch most evenings. We’ve been listening to the Unashamed Podcast by Phil and Al Robertson. It’s really good. They talk about the Bible and what’s going on in the world. We have found it interesting.

With quarantine Easter was just another day. No family celebration, no church service..,, I hope it’s the only Easter I ever have like that.

Savanah still got dressed up.

I wore a pretty blouse but not to dressed up.

Until next time,

I hope you are enjoying the fabulous spring weather.

Happy Summer!

Hello Dolly! It’s the first day of summer! Can you believe it? Doesn’t it seem that it was just New Years the other day?

With summer comes a lot of rain and a lot of heat. I’m so thankful for air conditioning. And ice cream 🍦

Everything is green and beautiful. And the bugs are in full supply. But each season is so wonderful. And each has its special joys. I hope you have a wonderful summer! And that it doesn’t fly by to fast.

XOXO

Christmas

Christmas came and went so quickly.

It was a very quiet Christmas this year... we didn't host our annual Christmas party.

We may do it next year...

But we will wait and see...

I still did a few decorations and two small trees.

Now it's time to pack it all away until next time.

My favorite tree

My husband got me a Jeep for Christmas! It will be perfect for the dirt roads.

Levi got a shotgun for Christmas and he got his

drivers license . Let's just say I'm on pins and needles.

Now it's time to get busy and put everything away.

June

June the month of roses....

It's been raining here pretty much the whole month so far.

I'm trying to cheer myself with flowers and rearranging , to much grey gets me craving sunshine and warmth.

This weekend is my birthday! So I'm looking forward to lunch and antique shopping with my sister. It's been quite sometime since I've gotten to go.

She found some new shops somewhere, so we are going to check them out.

I hope everyone is having a good month so far...

Beautiful Things All Around Us

Good morning! It's positively beautiful in Florida right now... We have been having the best weather and it's wonderful! I'm so grateful for every day.

I changed out the aprons....

I haven't grown tired of any of my pink appliances or pink decor..... when you love something you can always make it work.

And it seems everything you pick up just goes....because it's what you love. This little bear is so cute. So she was added to the vignette.

I named her cupcake... I hope your having a lovely week....
Blessings and Hugs

Glorious Spring

Spring has sprung in Florida!

We've been blessed with the most beautiful weather! I adore Florida for many reasons but Spring is at the top of the list.

To the front porch...

I've rearranged my sitting area on our porch. I'm still searching for the perfect furniture for it. I'm very patient. So I'll know it when I see it, until then..... This is it.

I got a new spring chicken for the kitchen. Isn't she adorable?

And a beautiful new dining table. I'm so happy with it.

My handsome hubby hung my pink chandelier for me. And I love it!!!!

I've been playing around with the decor and putting that spring touch on everything. I love yellow and spring is the perfect time to add it in.

I even changed the bedding in the guest room...,and I have a visitor coming. My daughter... I'm super happy to spend spring break with her. I miss her so much.

Maybelline has been doing wonderful... she had her 1st grooming and they said she was an angel. Isn't she adorable? We just love her so much.

I hope you all are enjoying spring and the beauty it holds... and if it's still snowing and cold where you are I hope Spring shows up soon!

February at Winona Cottage

Valentines Day is just around the corner. I've been putting my very few decorations out.

The kitchen island is my favorite place for little vignettes.

The fridge is my favorite!

We've ordered a new dining room table. This one is so comfortable and pretty but the chairs are on wheels. That is not a good thing for hardwood floors. So a guy (vendor) ( Not Too Shabby)I met at the Fancy Flea is hand building us a farm table! It will be white. I took chairs I already had he will paint them to match. Plus he's building a bench for one side.

Sending you a truck load of love.

XOXO
