What Have We Done Today?

We shall do much in the years to come,
But what have we done today?
We shall give our gold in a princely sum,
But What have we done today?
We shall lift the heart and dry the tear,
we shall plant a hope in the place of fear,
We shall speak the words of love and cheer,
But what did we speak today?

We shall be so kind in the after while,
But have we been today?
We shall bring to each lonely life a smile,
But have we brought today?
We shall give to truth a grander birth,
And to steadfast faith a deeper worth,
We shall feed the hungering souls of earth,
But whom have we brought today?

We shall reap such joys in the by and by,
But what have we sown today?
We shall build us mansions in the sky,
But what have we built today?
'Tis sweet in the idle dreams to bask:
But here and now, do we our task?
Yet, this is the thing our souls must ask,
What have we done today?

This is such a beautiful poem and it really causes reflection. What have I done today?

Trim Healthy Mama and a Baptism.....

O.K these two pictures are in the opposite order.  Our future son-in-law got rebaptized....

He didn't feel he understood what he was doing the first time... because he was very young so he asked my husband to baptize him again..... So we rejoice in this blessing. It is wonderful when a soul is added to the heavenly roster.

We have been knee deep in wedding plans with only five months left until the big day!!! With that said I know that I would like to lose about 15 pounds before all of the parties and feasting...and PICTURES!  Yikes...... Well way back in May I bought the Trim Healthy Mama Book and I was really jazzed up about it. Telling all of my family and friends. Well they have had great success and I well...... I have been less than diligent. O. K. a LOT less diligent than them.... If you haven't heard about this book you should really look into it. These to sisters wrote this book over a five year span. And I know it works, my Aunt has lost 22 pounds in just  a couple of months, my friend Julie is at a weight she hasn't seen in a while. Down to a 119 pounds!  I lost 4  pounds in a week..... all very healthfully. You can got to Gwen's Nest or Stacy Makes Cents, to read full reviews and look at recipes and tips on this book.

So why am I telling you my dear readers all of this? Well I want you to be my accountability partner! If I know I have to check in with you next Sunday and let you know how I am doing, I am hoping it will keep me motivated. So today is my first check in...and I am nervous about the whole thing but here goes my dignity LOL.....

5'3
135 Pounds....... Hoping to be around 120....in five months.

So my dear little accountability partners here it starts and next Sunday I will talk more about this little journey.....

Blessings,

Offered Once...For Many

"...so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

Blessings Sunday's

Lately I have been thinking  about the many blessings that God so abundantly gives us.  I thought it would be fun to start a blessings Sunday... The time has changed this morning so I have a little time this morning..yeah!  This morning I am very thankful that our little dog is going to be o.k. Last night we discovered a pellet directly under Bentley's eye.  It was lodged just cm from his eye. Now he never leaves the yard so we don't know if someone was shooting a pellet gun and it somehow strayed and hit him. Or if some evil person would do it on purpose. He is never aloud to run around the yard without one of us... But we do have a little dog lead that we put him on.... that is the only time that it could have happened.
He is a true little man of a Scottie dog..... he never even let us know it happened. We just saw it there.... And my husband got tweezers and pulled it out. He never even cried...He is the bravest of little Scot's....My children just adore him and we would have been heart broken had it turned out differently. I thank God that He was watching him, one of his small creations. After it was all over my son said with awe " He really is like a little man isn't he?" We are doctoring the little hole that is left...There are so many things to be thankful for everyday, this was just fresh on my mind...but I will be counting my blessings with you all every Sunday....I hope you will remember to count yours too.... Many Blessings to you all...
