What I Wore 2019 Part 2

Happy Monday!! I decided to get back to updating the tiny neglected blog. So I’ll get to it. This was a dress I got from Stitch Fix and paired with a Loft sweater. I wore this for my birthday dinner. My 29th Birthday dinner. What you don’t believe me?

I told you!! The waiter obviously thought this was funny. I told him he was my favorite waiter of all time.

This beautiful blazer I got at an antique mall. It’s vintage and I really love it! I wore it to church.

This over sweater is from ModCloth. I got it on clearance and I will definitely wear it again this spring.

A friend from Instagram sent me these lovely earrings as a gift. They are handmade.

Another Lularoe dress. I’m telling you they are the best!

This dress is from Amazon. They are really inexpensive and comfortable. I think they are around $25 The kimono is from?? You guessed it. Lularoe 💕

A bright spring dress from ModCloth. Another clearance sell.

Another Lularoe... I guess I’m obsessed.

The Cuff is from Mothercuffer. I wear a lot of cuffs. I love words and I think they are pretty special since they are handmade.

This is a Lily Pulitzer skirt and Chico’s chambray top.

And believe it or not that was all of the outfit pictures I took for 2019. I wore a lot more pants this year and I have realized that mostly they are very uninspiring to me. I love dresses and skirts, but mostly skirts. And truly maxi skirts. My legs are not fabulous and I really don’t like showing them off.  I will continue tweaking what I love this year and finding what I feel is best for me as I continue on. I’ll keep you all updated on my not so mainstream clothing journey. If I don’t like it after I wear it, I give it away or sell it to the consignment shop. So some things you have seen may already be history. Others I’ll try to rewear and find ways to use them that make me happy. If they don’t work out it’s no love loss for me I try to get the item to someone who will love it.

What I Wore 2019

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite outfit combinations from this past year.  This sweater is a beautiful chocolate brown and the blouse has a lovely ruffled front. Both of these pieces are thrifted.

This is a beautiful apron my lovely friend bought me. I still wear aprons every day.

This blouse is very beautiful. It is from Target.

The cutest shoes! Who doesn’t like bacon and eggs??

This outfit was completely thrifted.

Last Summer  this is a lularoe skirt. The kimono is from Amazon.

My daughter always tells me I look like Anne Hathaway... I see a tiny resemblance. If only I had her beautiful figure 🤣

This was after my daughter did my hair.

Another summer outfit.

A church dress I got from Lularoe.

The shirt from the first picture worn in summer with a pink lularoe kimono.

Beautiful scarf my daughter gave me.

This is another lularoe dress! Their dresses are so comfortable and you can dress them up or dress them down. If you haven’t tried them you should. This post is getting long so I will break 2019’s what I wore into several posts.

Sweet Snails

I got a few vintage goodies in the mail box today. One thing is this beautiful vintage Sears blanket. I just love the roses on it. Another was this adorable snail planter. I don't know why snails are so adorable to me. Even real ones. LOL   I'm not sure where I am putting him. But I know I will find a place.

I've had these little snail salt and peppers for a long time. Now it's a snail family of three. My sister is coming over and we are going to hit a few antique stores. My kind of fun! I hope you have a blessed and happy Saturday!

Some Cleaning....

I bought these adorable tins a little while back and they have just been stuffed away in a cabinet. I got to thinking what is the point of having them if I am just  going to hide them. So I looked around and thought they would look nice on top of the refrigerator. When I climbed up to see about this..... Let's just say it was not pretty. So a two minute project turned into 30 minutes. But Now I have a clean dust free fridge and some pretty little tins on top.

XOXO,
Amy Jo

Weekend Treasures

Over the weekend my sister and I went thrift shopping....the weather was beautiful and the thrift stores were packed!

I didn't really believe I would find anything with it being so busy... but I was wrong.

I found these two plates and the valance at Good Will for just a few dollars. (you remember my head vase don't you?)

I got this Christmas tablecloth for .99 cents. After we left there we went to another Good Will and I found....

This adorable little camper...It is made out of metal and has real rubber wheels. It is so cute.

My husband always wanted an airstream...well now we have one..hehehe.

I also found this beautiful stitch work. I am going to paint the frame (you know that) and then find a place to hang it....the find of the day was a beautiful antique bed that I will show you in a future post after I have transformed it. My sister bought some stuff as well but I didn't get pictures of them before she took them home.

Vintage Suit Cases

Remember these suit cases I got from my friend Heather? Well, we decided they needed a paint job.

We are going to use them at Savanah's wedding. We will open the top suit case for cards. And the great thing is they will blend right in with all of my décor! Yay Me!

Some Finds and Re "Redoing" the Laundry Room

Here
This is Christy Repasy's latest release. I got it about a week ago..... I just love it!! It is the inspiration piece for redoing the laundry room. I haven't been happy with the laundry since we redid it back in October of last year. You can read about that here.

I also got this beautiful doorstop while we were in Plains, GA this past weekend. The price was excellent. Considering what some of these cost. I just love it!!

A shot of the laundry room all cleared out......ready for a renovation.... I will update you soon!

A Summary of Our Summer

This summer started off pretty happily with the purchase of this piece of property in Steinhachee, Florida. We have been looking for years for a piece of property since we go many times every year. All the property was pretty pricey. But I wrote to the man that owned a piece next to my parents get away home and he said he would sell it to us. He offered it way cheaper than we could believe.
As I mentioned before my daughter got engaged and the date is February 15, 2014.

Levi did lots of fishing...

My nephew got baptized in our pool..... This was a happy day.

Although I haven't done very much shopping this summer, I did find a few good things at goodwill. I got this trash can and it was plain. I put a waterslide decal on it and it is going in my laundry room with all of my dressforms.

I found this beautiful comforter at goodwill as well. I plan on using it when my daughter is married and I redo her room into a guest room.

You all know my weekness for old books.... and I found two of these vintage books at good will.

Uncle Authors Bible Book. It has copyrights from 1953.
Lovely!

This has been a strange summer in many ways. With such a mixture of good and bad. We have had near death experiences in the family as well as an actual death.... We have been reminded of the shortness of life.....And you only have one life....We were reminded to live life accordingly....God first, family second, yourself last....that's a little saying we learned at church years ago. And I am reminded that people are the most important thing of all. Hug somebody you love and remind them what they mean to you.

XOXO,
Amy Jo
