Gee Ain’t It Funny How Time Slips Away

Why do we let time slip by when it’s so very precious?  I’m often reminded of this truth as I meander through this life. Every time a loved one slips into eternity it’s as if the clocks ticking gets a little louder and time seems more precious .....and yet so does death.

Soon we all slip into the sweet bye and bye.... and we meet on that beautiful shore. I lost my favorite Uncle recently and I have pondered a few of these things. I am so grateful that he was a Christian and I have absolutely no doubt where he is. But life is a little more lonely without him here. Each person adds an element to your life. Each time a loved one leaves, a bit of sparkle leaves with them. And with each farewell, death seems a little less scary. I’m not trying to be morbid. These are thoughts that were on my heart today.

So onto brighter topics.... This is the mini makeover that my daughter and I did on our living room. It has already changed since this picture was taken. We decided to buy new furniture. But I wanted to show this to you first.

Feminine details.... and I think it looks beautiful but... this slipcover was a nightmare. Always slipping and sliding every which way. So it was just time for new furniture.

Since my last post Winter  became Spring and now we are into full blown Summer heat. We have had a lot of rain!

This was my driveway after 25 straight days of rain. It’s finally drying out. I’m so thankful for that. Although we have had a huge amount of humidity.

Mornings are my absolute favorite time of day. The possibilities are endlessly ahead of me and I feel so invigorated. This was a particularly pretty morning.

And another that was so pretty.... before the heat set in and everything seemed to wilt and all you want to do is hide in the air conditioning.

What is your favorite time of day? Leave me a comment! I would love to hear from you! Happy June my friends!💕

XOXO,
Amy Jo
