This is our dining room. It is painted a soft green, and it has white Priscilla curtains. I put plastic over the table cloth so it is easy clean up. |
The chandelier is one of the cheaper ones that was taken apart painted a shabby pink and crystals and glass were added to the bottom. This is also a view of the entryway. |
Entry hall. This is the last piece I have out of an entire set I used to own that was from the turn of the last century. I sold the other pieces. |
This little book shelf I use as a display piece. |
More of my little cottages, and some pink milk glass. |
This little kitty is a lone salt shaker and the teapot didn't have the lid so it became a flower pot. |
A few of my favorite cookbooks. |

Very lovely ~ I really like that paint color and the curtains too. I have Naomi Judd's cookbook as well ~ some very good recipes in that one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love your picture of the family praying, what a great find!
ReplyDeleteWhile I think your home is very feminine and dainty, I wonder, does your husband like it? You do a beautiful job of decorating but it doesn't look like a man lives there, lol. My husband would probably be okay with maybe the bedroom being very feminine or a bathroom but I know he likes to have things around that are his, things that perhaps belonged to his family or masculine touches. Most men don't have a strong opinion on decorating the home but a blend of masculine and feminine is usually the compromise, at least around here.
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and leaving your comment.
It is funny because my husband really does not care how I decorate. We have an office that holds all of his things. He has his hunting equipment and then he has two sheds loaded with toys, his boats, four wheelers and such. Most of his things are outdoor stuff. He has never complained and when people ask him about it he will tell them I don't care what she does in here as long as she cooks dinner. LOL Now I will say at our last house he had an upstairs bonus room, which I dubbed the man cave. It was mostly plain with a couch, a TV and a side table. We don't have that luxury here. But the office is mostly his stuff.
Blessings to you,
Amy Jo

I think your home is just so lovely, Amy Jo! I love all your sweet little touches, too! I see you have a little pin money purse! I have one very similar. I did a post about them a few months ago, too!
