Goodwill Chair

I found this little chair at good will yesterday. I really liked it and it was only 12.99. It was a very dark wood. You know I don't often do dark wood. I decided to paint it pink.



After painting it pink I thought I would try the water slide decal that I bought from the Polka Dot Closet. I really like the way it turned out. I bought this for my porch....but now I may put it in my booth. We will see... Happy Thursday..

A Few Birthday Gifts

My Mother came over this week and surprised me with a few birthday gifts!

They matched the flowers my hubby bought me. She got me this little pink depression sandwich tray.

A beautiful 2 gallon iced tea container. This is from Victorian trading company.... It will be perfect for parties.

She also got me this tea party book from Victorian Trading Co. It is so pretty... I can't wait to try some of the recipes.

Like this wonderful looking buttermilk scone! Thank you to My Mother in law  and Aunt in law for taking me to lunch and getting me a beautiful lace vest.... and to my sister for taking me to lunch another day! It was a birthday week.

Father's Day and My Birthday

This week flew by I had my niece and nephew one day. We went to the park. It was some kind of hot!

After worship services on Father's Day we went for a Sunday drive and stopped at the park again. This is Savanah and her boyfriend Kevin.

Monday was my birthday and my wonderful husband had these beautiful flowers delivered to our front door. And he surprised me with reservations to my favorite Japanese steakhouse.

The flowers are very summery. With lots of pink.

I don't know how long they will last in this heat. I hope at least a week. We are getting a lot of rain here in Florida. It makes for very muggy days when the sun does come out...

Hi There!!

Hey there, it has been a while. I have been very busy with family matters. May was a long month. My Uncle was in the hospital the entire month. It was a 45 minute drive one way and we were going at least 3 days a week. It was taxing. My antique booth was neglected as was the rest of my life. Including Sunny Skies. But (Lord willing) things are getting back to normal. How is everything with all of you? Are you having a good summer so far? I will be visiting you all soon....
