You Get a Line and I'll Get a Pole

We decided to go for a little walk in the country....

It was a beautiful day... And as is normal with Florida extremely warm.

Levi wanted to bring his fishing pole...just in case.

Because there may be a chance they are biting...

The cattails are all over right now.

Of course you need more than a pole.... you need bait.

Levi stood in this spot fishing and fishing....then he decided to walk to the other side of the pond....

Guess who threw his line in the spot he just left...DAD! And he caught a fish....hehe.... and of course there was a lot of joking about this....not to Levi's delight.

I hope your day is beautiful!

Needle Work

I painted the frame on the Goodwill needle work I bought....It is now hanging in my kitchen.  Darling, isn't it?

Bountiful Blessings

I feel very blessed!  I have received so many wonderful gifts lately.... I won a give away over at Junk Chic Cottage. She was having her second blog anniversary. This is my 1st time ever winning a blog give away...So I was super excited. This is what I got. Note cards, pen, and the cutest air freshener. Thank you Kris!

Also back in December Kim over at Imagery by Kimberly gave away, to anyone who wanted one, a beautiful matted print of one of her swan photographs... I got one. Her photography is beautiful and peaceful. If you haven't been to her blog you should check it out.  Thank you Kim!

I have been picking up vintage sheets for years and I love to make sets out of mis matches. This is a yellow set I have put together...

I love yellow it is such a bright and happy color. And you know I love roses :)

Lastly I wanted to share these beautiful old Ball jars that are so popular right now.... My dear friend (more like family) Judy, gave these to me. They are old...and I really love them. Thank you Judy! I plan on putting sand in one and old photographs of beach goers. I saw the idea in an antique store. It was darling.

I love that on the top it says.... Jam 8/5/58....So it was definitely used for someone's  fresh canned jam.  Oooh vintage goodness.

A Collector's Kitchen

Last weekend I went to my friend Heather's house in North Florida. She moved here a few years back. I showed her last home in a previous post. Today I thought I would show her "new kitchen". She painted her cabinets and put new doors on as she said they were in terrible shape when they purchased the property.

As you can see she loves to collect.

This home is smaller than her last and she is always trying to figure out storage options. This is her coffee bar.

I love all the kitsch collectibles she has.

I bought her this little apple bowl for her birthday with the little apples. Fits right in with her stuff.

She loves Pyrex and old kitchen utensils.

Give us this day our daily bread...

This is so cute to me...

I hope you enjoyed the tour of Heather's kitchen... Thank you Heather for letting me share your home with everyone... I will post more of her home soon.

I have been busy with a sick child for the last 8 days. I believe he has turned a corner today and is on the road to recovery.

Blessings to you,
Amy Jo
