The Remodeled Bathroom!!!

We are finally finished with the remodel! I know a lot of you do everything yourselves and 5 weeks would seem short. But it didn't seem short to me. We slept on a futon couch in the office during this time. Believe me nothing is as comfortable as your own bed. My Dad is a licensed builder and he handled this remodel.... I can't thank him enough... The job went fairly smoothly with only the occasional hiccup.

I love this vanity, I ordered this on EBay. It was cheaper than anything at the major hardware stores. It came with the marble top and hutch.  We bought the faucet separately.

This is my favorite thing about the bathroom MY TUB!!!  We originally were going to get a corner tub but we realized for the same money we could get a claw foot tub.

The last thing that was installed was the glass door.

My husband wanted a separate toilet room...and I am glad we did this. It has a pocket door and extra storage. We were able to use the original light fixture and toilet paper holder....

The entrance with new light fixture. We used all bronze fixtures.

I had a pink chandelier but I changed my mind and went with the bronze for a more cohesive look.

Isn't it beautiful?

I always wanted a claw foot tub. Now I will be taking a bath in this just about every night ;)

We put in a lot of lighting! It really is bright. I could not be happier with it.

This project has taught me a lot. I have enjoyed talking with the different trade men and having my Dad here was so nice. My Mom came a few times too...and we snuck off to antique...he hehe  Now it is over and I have been trying to clean and get the dust off of everything. Next comes the fun part decorating.!. I have been studying magazines and trying to figure out what I want to put in there. I will be sharing more soon....

Update

As you all know my laptop died tear tear, I have been hating not having it, but it is forcing me to figure out more about the desktop. So this is my first post with the desktop and I can't promise anything....

These are the beautiful roses my daughter got from her sweetheart for Valentines day.

I got a special delivery, too!

The sweetest little bouquet....

My son added a little flower from the yard.

and a box of chocolates!!! The man does know me after all..

And now a little update on the bathroom..... this is the shower...

I love the marble! It turned out beautifully.

We added a little seat.

We splurged on the marble and saved on the floor tile. We just went with a simple ceramic tile. I am so happy with it. By next week we will be done!! The next update I do on the bathroom will be at completion!

Savanah with her flowers.

The azaleas are blooming in full force.... the birds are singing, there is a gentle breeze today and peace prevails around our little home.... Here is a short video I took this morning... very amateur...I am going to work on this though.

Liebster Award

I was awarded the Liebster Award from Softies Place.
It was very sweet to get this award!  I had a plan of doing a big post....but my lap top died literally in the beginning part of writing this. I am now on my husbands desktop.  I will not be able to finish this post until I can get my computer looked at :(  I will try to take it in to see what the problem is tomorrow.....Until then..... Blessings and love,

Amy Jo

Oh the day of love! I really love valentine cards, vintage ones of course.
And this isn't just a lot of hot air :)
They make my heart burn....
And I'm not the only fish who thinks so!
Here's to hoping you have the time of your life with another egg as good as you!
Wishing you love and blessings,

The drywall is up!

This will be the shower! Oh, a hot bath with lots of bubbles is in sight! I can't wait!!

Rose Blossom Cottage

I wanted to tell you about an online shop called Rose Blossom Cottage. They sell the most beautiful charms, bracelet's and necklaces.

I have been collecting their charms for a few years now and this one is my most recent. I can't wait to wear this for Easter. I am hoping to find the perfect Easter dress or rummage through some of my old things and create a new outfit.

Rose Blossom Cottage has broken china charms and hand painted charms. They will also create a charm using a picture.

On the back of the middle heart they engraved Frank and Amy. I just love it! I am not in any way affiliated with them. I just think they have such beautiful jewelry. I hope you will stop by and see them.

Lastly I wanted to show you my first chalkboard... actually I had two of these with Hulda pictures in them. But the pics were very dark. I looked them up online and they shouldn't have been so dark. So I felt OK about covering over them with chalkboard paint. One I am keeping and one is in my booth. What have you been up to?

Blessings to you,
Amy Jo
